Barsaat (1949): At the age of 25, Raj Kapoor’s directed Barsaat won him recognition. Barsaat was one of the hit films delivered by Raj.
Chori Chori(1956): A great romantic comedy about a girl who travels with a journalist looking for a news scoop. The breath taking music of the movie was composed by award winning duo Shankar-Jaikishen. The movie was a modified remake of Hollywood movie, ‘It happened One Night’, but the fact is never declared officially.
Jis desh mein Ganga behti hai (1960): One of the most appreciated movies of Raj Kapoor, Jis desh mein Ganga behti hai, received many awards at Filmfare and National Film Awards. At the 9th Filmfare Awards the movie was nominated in 8 categories out of which the film won 4 awards. Raj himself received the awards for best actor and Best movie.
