What is the Agnipath Scheme?
Agnipath signifies the “path of fire” and this scheme is launched for the recruitment of gentlemen cadets to serve the country. On 14 June 2022, the Indian government made a life-changing decision for the youth of India to serve as a “fauji” in all three forces of India for 4 years. The selected candidates under this scheme will be known as “Agniveer”. According to the government, this scheme will empower the Indian youth teaching them various life values and ethics which would form their standards of living a life of discipline and integrity. The main motto of the scheme is to train the maximum youth with skills and moral values which would result in a positive impact on society and the country as well.

The army is the best way of living a life that gives an individual purpose to live. This major program will lead our country to be one of the most skilled.
Agniveer will be recruited in all Indian forces i.e, Arm, Air, and Navy. During the 26 weeks training period they will be taught elements and new technologies. The main benefits of this scheme to the Agniveer will be that they will be physically fit, have leadership quality, have pity, and will create opportunities under stress and pressure.
The experience gained by them will be useful to them in their entire life. Gaining respect, and money through hard work and perseverance at the minor age of 21 is pride in itself. It increases the value of a person in society as well as you have chances to grow and utilize those values in any field. Agniveer will be an inspiration for the new era.
Who can apply for Agnipath Scheme?
The physically fit youth of India who has an age limit of 17.5 to 21 have the opportunity to serve the nation by rendering their dedicated service.
Analytic mind, Medically fit, confident, bold personality candidates with good communication skills will be preferably selected.
The main motive of this Agnipath scheme is to empower youth and lower the government’s heavy stress on the pensions of army personnel.
Firstly there will be a written exam, the qualified candidates will further be interviewed for various ranks and physical standards will also be taken into account in the selection process.
What is the Age limit of an Agniveer?
Agniveer will be recruited at a minor age of 17.5 till 21. The best part is that those recruited candidates who have just completed matriculation will also have a chance to complete their +2 and graduate within the army. Certificates provided by the army will be applicable everywhere in India as well as abroad.
The government brought this unique scheme to empower the young youth to fight for the nation and inculcates a sense of unity, integrity, discipline, and respect for the nation and every individual of the country.
Age is just a number, you need the courage to stand in front of the enemy and challenge them with confidence. A fearless and dedicated life is shown and created only in the army.
The salary pattern of Agniveer
According to the Indian government Agniveer report, the average monthly salary of a recruited Agniveer soldier for the first year of recruitment will be Rs 30,000. However, the gentlemen will receive only Rs 21,000 from their complete salary and an average of Rs 9,000 per month will be reduced from their salaries per month. This deducted money will be saved in the corpus fund. The Center government will add the same amount of salary as the recruited Agniveer soldiers to their savings fund account. After 4 years of recruitment under the Agnipath scheme, Agniveer will be paid a lump sum of around Rs 11.77 lakh. The corpus provided to Agniveer under this scheme will be called the Seva Nidhi Package and this will be strictly exempted from any type of income tax.
In the second year of the Agnipath scheme, the average salary provided will be Rs 33,000 but there will be a deduction of 30 percent for the savings in the Seva Nidhi Package.
In the third year of recruitment, the in-hand salary will be Rs 36,500. In the fourth and the final year, the average in-hand salary will be Rs 40,000.
There will be no other provident fund deduction as The Seva Nidhi package is exactly similar to the provident fund scheme of the employee. The Agniveer will get insurance of Rs 48 lakh for rendering the four-year service in the army.
