What is called a straddling bus- In China a future technology has been discovered to tackle the problem of high traffic and increasing air pollution. It is the straddling bus having the height of 4.5 to 5 meters and giving way for the small vehicles like cars, suv etc through and below the bus.It straddle the roads and let the traffic move under it.

Straddling bus is called as Giant bus because of its train-like size. It is a 3d bus designed by Shenzhen Hashi Future Parking Equipment Company.  It is also a land-air-bus. Also you can call it a running tunnel through which cars can pass.

The bus can carry upto 1500 passengers with out occupying the road. It can go upto the speed of 40 mile/hour. Though the speed is not so high but it will maintain the security because this new technology has not been tested yet and the company has planned to test it by this August/ September. It will run on a special track which will be constructed for the straddling bus.

Benefit of this new technology- China is the most populous country in the world and also a developed one so it’s clear that it may have severe traffic. China is the largest market for cars. This new technology may help to reduce the traffic problems and increasing pollution. The straddling bus will use electricity as its fuel thus it is ecofriendly. It can significantly reduce the traffic problems as well as would not affect the environment.

Some problems of the saddling bus- The first and major problem of the bus is that the vehicles like trucks , lorry can’t pass through it. Thus china has to construct more subways for that and it’s much costlier for such a large country.

They are working on new technology to overcome this problem. It has been first introduced in 2010 in china but the technology has not come to the field. China has announced to build new tracks for this project and the construction will begin end of this year.[mashvideo]
