Everyday Things You’ve Been Doing Wrong
You may have seen lists like this before, but I’m going to give you some real life hacks that will actually help you out. I’m looking at all different types of tips and tricks.
1. Freezing Meat:
Flatten your ground beef when freezing it. This will cut down on the thawing time when you are ready to use it.
2. Efficient Kitchen Work
Pull out a drawer and lay a cutting board across it, so you can chop or scoop veggies as needed.
3. Eating Nutella
If you have a jar of Nutella that is almost gone, put some ice cream in it and eat it all up.
4. Dealing With “Garbage Juice”
Put some newspaper at the bottom of your garbage can to absorb any juices or liquids from food.
5. Storing Pot Lids
Mount a towel rack inside of a cabinet door to store all of your pot lids.
6. Mounting A Tablet On The Wall
Use the adhesive wall hooks to mount your iPad or tablet on the wall. Could be a good way to use it while cooking or watching something on it.
7. Buying Watering Cans
Poke some small holes in the lid, and fill it with water, this will serve as a good DIY watering can.
8. Utilizing Your Refrigerator
Use a Lazy Susan in your refrigerator for your ketchup, mustard, butter, or whatever condiments you like. It will save space.
9. Cleaning Your Keyboard
Use the sticky end of a Post-It note to clean between keys on your keyboard.
10. Luggage Tags To Identify Your Suitcase
If you use some very plain-looking luggage, you may get it confused with someone else’s bag. Tie a piece of brightly-colored ribbon on one of the straps. That will make it easier to spot.
11. Freezing Water
Wrap a wet paper towel around a water bottle when freezing it. The water will be frozen within minutes.
12. Storing Cleaning Supplies
Use a shoe rack to store bottles of cleaners where they will be easier to find. Also, it can help keep those bottles away from kids.
13. Making Iced Coffee
You can freeze coffee to keep your iced cappuccinos and lattes from getting watered down.
14. Vacuuming
Put a stocking over the end of the vacuum to pick up small things like jewelry.
15. Hard Boiling Eggs
When boiling eggs, put a teaspoon of baking soda in the water. It will make the shells come off way easier.
16. Making Ice Packs
Soak a sponge in water, put it in a Ziploc bag, and freeze it. It will make a nice ice pack that won’t melt on you.
17. Cleaning Headlights
If your car’s headlights are hazy, use some toothpaste to clean them up.
